8. KNOW THAT IT’S OK TO MAKE MISTAKES:

We are going to make mistakes and we need to separate ourselves from who we are and what we do. If we stand back and observe our behavior and note our mistakes we can approach a place where we can change the way we do things and then feel more at ease in knowing that it is OK to make mistakes, if we are willing to learn what went wrong and take the necessary steps to change the path that we were on.

How many people do you know that have failed BIG? I know many including myself and if you feel that you cannot accept success until you’ve failed big and haven’t done that yet…then you had better get busy. For if you are participating in life at some point you are going to fail, things are not going to work out all the time…it just won’t happen because that’s life.

We all are going to make mistakes, fail, spend a lot of money on something we feel is the “next big thing” for it not to work out as hoped, BUT the key is learning from those failures and mistakes and move on. Learn the next step, what is it that you need to implement to make your current business not fail the way your last one did.

NEVER, NEVER Give Up! That’s not allowed in the world of success. Those who fall and get back up and push harder for success are the ones who will make it!

I believe that it is very important to the success of your network marketing business to understand and know if you’re completely motivated, and what it takes to get yourself completely motivated.

Everyone is motivated differently, and in order to do the best in your marketing you need to understand what motivates you first and then what motivates those around you in the marketing arena.

I have been reading Tamara Lowe’s Get Motivated book and found some interesting facts about myself that I didn’t realize until reading this. Realizing the things that motivate and demotivate me has been KEY in keeping myself motivated on this journey of network marketing.

What kind of person are you?

-Are you more competitive or cooperative?

-Do you like things to stay the same or do like to change things up every once in a while?

-What makes you feel most appreciated?

-public recognition

-or just knowing inside that you’ve done something great

I believe that whoever you are and whatever you are doing it is a MUST to understand what motivates you and others around you! Knowing this doesn’t just help you in your network marketing endeavors it will also be very beneficial to your family life too! Your children and your spouse are all motivated differently than you are. Help them by understanding what motivates and demotivates them so that they can also excel to their best ability.

Being motivated allows the best to come out and you will be able to accomplish sooo much more when you and the ones you are working with are completely motivated!

Network Marketing is about people working together with other people, right? Then doesn’t it make sense to understand what motivates you and the people around you? Understanding how you can work together as a team just by knowing what motivates each other?

The purpose of this is to give you a hunger and thirst to learn more about motivation so that you and your team can excel to the absolute best of your ability.

I was so inspired last night by a friend that it led me to develop this post from the inspiration I received from him!

We all know the Biblical principle, “You reap what you sow.” That same principle applies to our network marketing businesses too!

The first thing you need to remember is that your business will NEVER pay you like a job…with a job you know what you do today will generate revenue next week….Well in your NETWORK MARKETING business there is a lot of sowing and more sowing and at first it seems fruitless. BUT once you hit that reaping stage, you will realize again that a job will NEVER pay you like your business will! You will sit back and wonder why you are getting paid what you are!

My friend said,

“Before I hit high six figures in this industry I worked and worked and worked…When I got to 20K a month, I realized that I didn’t work any harder to get to 20K than I did when I was trying to get 2K.”

The reason he didn’t have to work harder is because all of his sowing compounded over time and he was able to reach 10x the lower income just by keeping steady and working hard. (Remember Daily Consistent Action)

Really at a job it doesn’t matter how hard you work you are still going to get paid the same. (Unless you don’t work hard and they fire you.)

In your network marketing business it all goes by the “what you sow is what you reap” rule.

If you’ve ever planted a garden or maybe even a field you understand that not every seed will sprout and produce. So you must plant enough seeds to make sure you get a full crop!

If you sow a little then you will reap a little and maybe not even at all, because you didn’t sow enough. BUT if you sow a lot and keep sowing everyday, you will have a constant flow of reaping!

Most marketers give up and quit sowing way to quickly, that is why they never see results. It’s like they plant a field and forget they planted it so they never know what came up and what didn’t.

Take the sunflower at the top of my page for example….

A Sunflower takes 90-100 days from a seed to actually become a mature plant that is ready to harvest.
And 1 Sunflower produces up to 2000 seeds.

Just from these two facts alone we can learn so much about our sowing in network marketing.

A seed does not grow and produce fruit immediately. It needs special care and time, but at the end of it’s growing season it has a beautiful reward for the sower, the fruit!

So in your business, SOW ALOT, take special care, and give it some time. It will produce 10x, 20x, 50x, etc over what you sowed.

Just from 1 seed the sunflower produced 2000 more seeds!

YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW! BUT sowing takes work, patience, and time!

There are things you must implement into your mind and life in order to make sure you are successful. These things may seem small or simple, but they are EXTREMELY important!

To Ensure Success

1-You NEED a Burning Desire
2-You NEED a Definite Purpose
3-You NEED to have a Plan of Action and TAKE Action to accomplish your Purpose

Then most importantly with these three things is to WRITE THEM DOWN!

Start now and analyze your desires to find out what your definite purpose is in those desires. Remember you are the only one who can create a definite purpose in your life.. No one else, humanly speaking, can create that for you.  We all have a purpose in life. God has given us each one a purpose and we must find out the purpose He has for us.

After you figure out your purpose you need to ask yourself these questions…

-What are you going to do about it?
-When are you going to set out to accomplish it?
-How are you going to accomplish it?

Make sure your aim is clear and it must be backed up with persistence that does not know the word impossible.  To accomplish anything it is going to take hard work, commitment, diligence, and persistence. None of those things know the word impossible!

If your aim in life is vague, your achievements will also be vague and very meager. That is why you must have a clear and definite aim for your life and network marketing business.

You MUST KNOW These Four Things

1) What you want
2) When you want it
3) Why you want it
4) How you are going to get it

There are also specific steps you must take to start on the path to accomplish what it is you desire.

Step 1 – Decide your major aim
Step 2 – Write out a CLEAR, concise statement of your aim.
Step 3 – What is your plan to attain the object
Step 4 – Get with others who can encourage you in your goals that will push you to keep going to meet those goals.

A very important fact to remember:

If you believe you can achieve your definite purpose in life then you must not ever recognize the word “impossible” or acknowledge temporary defeat.

You must know that you will succeed and if one plan fails you must quickly replace it with another plan of action to accomplish that specific purpose.

Take Action, NEVER GIVE UP!

Consistent and Persistent Action is KEY to your success!

I was reading in the book Law of Success by Napoleon Hill yesterday and came across an interesting thought. I will summarize!

What knowledge are you gaining?

Are you trying to gain knowledge about every subject in life?

Did you know that knowledge creates potential power, but to release that power within it must be used properly.

Instead of trying to build knowledge about everything in life. Go get the knowledge that is best suited for you and your current situation.

For Example: (which could be actuality)

If you are trying to learn the best marketing strategies for your business go get that knowledge. Use your knowledge to attract those potential buyers that you are seeking.

If you are trying to build something go find out all you can for that particular thing.

The KEY to releasing the power of knowledge is to APPLY it. It doesn’t really matter how much you know,  if you don’t know how to use it then it is useless.

You must put your knowledge into action.

One more point….”The person who can intelligently use the knowledge possessed by another is as much or more, a person of education as the one who merely has the knowledge but does not know what to do with it.”

Some people have a lot of knowledge, but have absolutely no clue where to start in applying that knowledge. You can learn from everyone. Take what you learn from those people and apply it.

Make knowledge come to life in your life!

I would highly suggest that you add The Law of Success to your library!

What kind of power are you holding inside? Knowledge can be such a lethal power if it is used correctly! Unleash the power of knowledge and attract the things desired to you!

Learn all you can, apply it to your life, and share it with others!
